Our Story
Mood Crafts was created in 2006 by Kim and Al Smith of Wilmot, Nova Scotia. We are a family business, offering a wide selection of natural products, each one handcrafted with loving care.
Kim is a Certified Aromatherpist and Reiki Level II Practitioner. She is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) Association. Kim offers her clients holistic treatments including Aromassage and Reiki, and professional services such as Aromatherapy Consultation and custom blending.
Kim also offers a wonderful variety of therapeutic products created using all natural essential oils, plant carriers and bases. Product categories include natural health and beauty products, home care products, carrier oils, bath salts, aromatherapy diffusers, and more.
Al is a wood worker who creates a line of custom products using a variety of hardwoods. Among his products are beautiful mirrors, restored from antiques and set with mirror and shelving to hold candles, flowers or trinkets. His line also includes candle holders, trinket boxes, beautiful pet cremation urns, and God boxes. Each item is unique and one-of-a-kind. When an item sells, it is removed from the website and replaced with another similar, but also unique, product. He welcomes custom orders.
A selection of beeswax candles completes our natural product line. We create these products from 100% Canadian beeswax, and offer both poured and rolled candles. You can even "Roll-Your-Own" with either taper or birthday candle kits, which include complete instructions. We have even offered several groups a fun fundraising option with the roll-your-own candles!
